The Mazda EZ-6 is the very first of its models of the new electrified vehicles which was developed and manufactured by Changan Mazda, in partnership with Chonqing Changan Automobile CO., Ltd.

The EZ-6 electric sedan will be the first global market EV. It is a successor of the Mazda 6 and is said to have a midsize four design to it. It will be competing with the BYD Seal, Polestar 2 and Tesla Model 3 in the market.

The EZ-6 will be 4,921 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,485 mm – 56 mm longer, 50 mm wider and 35 mm taller than the predecessor Mazda 6 sedan. It will likely have the same wheelbase which will measure 2,900 mm as its SL07 twin, which is 70 mm more than the Mazda 6.

The Mazda EZ-6 will come in two versions a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in-hybrid electrified vehicle (PHEV). It is expected that the car will have around 372 miles (600 km) China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) driving range. The PHEV version is said to have over 621 mils (1,000 km).

The EZ-6 is equipped with a 14.6-inch main infotainment screen, another screen for the instrument cluster, Level 2.5 autonomous driving aids, four high-definition panoramic cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a 7 N.m Qualcomm SA8155P processor. It will also help with self-parking, parking from a distance, intelligent remote parking, and parking with trace-back capabilities.

It still has the similar design to the CX-60 and CX-90 with a tan-coloured accents, air vents, and extra chrome lashing perforated leather with a central stripe, and a circular steering wheel horn pad.

The EZ-6 is the first car to showcase the brands new design element including a thin, rectangular daytime lights and a lower main headlight beam, alongside a wide taillight, a spelled-out rear Mazda emblem, and a retractable spoiler.

The Mazda EZ-6 is set to launch by the end of 2025 in Europe.
