HarmonyOS 4: Packed with AI-Powered Features for Smartphones and Smart Cars

Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4, set to be released in the fall of this year, is expected to include a slew of AI-powered features. The tech industry is currently undergoing a significant transformation due to the use of A.I. technologies, and Huawei is no exception. In fact, Yu Chengdong, the company’s CEO of the Consumer BG and CEO of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, recently confirmed that HarmonyOS 4 will be used in Huawei’s next generation of smart car cockpit systems.

The HarmonyOS 4 features for smart cars are expected to use AI for the best output, resulting in more comfortable operations and improved security of the car models. Because autonomous driving is also based on AI and machine learning technologies, HarmonyOS 4 is expected to include support for onboard hardware.

When it comes to smartphones, Huawei is attempting to keep all details about HarmonyOS 4 features under wraps. However, the company is expected to improve software performance even further in order to collaborate with other platforms. It is expected that Super Device will see significant improvements with new changes in on-screen personalization, emphasising the tag of HarmonyOS 4 with AI.

Huawei announced HarmonyOS 3 software in July 2022, which was first released in October with the Huawei Mate 50 series. This flagship was the first to come pre-loaded with the software, and it later made its way onto older devices via an OTA upgrade.

HarmonyOS 3 comes with a fast and efficient Super Device panel with more platform support. This version also includes smart folders, a new version of large folders. Furthermore, stack and group options improve widget management. Huawei also added some new security features, such as privacy and security centres.

Huawei released the P60 series in March, which came pre-installed with HarmonyOS 3.1, which includes a brand new lock screen personalization. As previously stated, the HarmonyOS version includes new camera app enhancements.

The current generation of Huawei phones is currently preparing for EMUI 13 and HarmonyOS 3.1 in their respective markets. However, rumours about EMUI 14 and HarmonyOS 4 are already circulating, with the hope that they will be made available to all users as soon as possible.
