Apple to release an M3-powered iMac in 2023

With Apple preparing to announce new laptops and desktops, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman predicts that the company will release an M3-powered iMac in 2023.

The Cupertino-based tech company’s latest iMac is nearing completion, and Apple is presently running production testing on the desktop Computer.

“We also know that Apple has developed the next iMac on the same timeline as the M3 chip, so I’d expect it to be one of the company’s first M3-based machines,” he said.

The next iMac will have the same 24-inch screen as the current model and will be available in blue, silver, pink, and orange colours.

Gurman also mentions that portions of the computer’s internals have been modified and moved, as well as the manufacturing procedure for attaching the stand.

The new iMacs aren’t scheduled to debut until the second half of 2023 at the earliest, since mass manufacturing isn’t likely to begin for at least three months.

Apart from the new iMacs, Apple is expected to release three new Macs this year: a 15-inch MacBook Air, an improved 13-inch MacBook Air, and the first Mac Pros with in-house CPUs.

The Mac Pro will have the M2 Ultra, which will have up to 24 CPU cores, 76 graphics cores, and the capacity to store up to 192GB of Memory.

The 15-inch MacBook Air will most likely include an Apple M2 microprocessor, while the revised 13-inch model may have an M3 processor.
