80% of Twitter Staff gone since Elon Musk's takeover

According to Elon Musk the App Twitter is “roughly breaking even,” since its massive layoffs and aggressive cost-cutting the app is starting to see the bearing of its fruits as a result most of the advertisers have returned.

In a Twitter Space Interview with BBC broadcast, Musk stated that Twitter has about 1 500 employees now, which is a major decline from its 8 000 employees they had before he bought the App last year. This resulted in more than 80% of Twitter staff left since he took over.

Since Musk acquired the App for $44 Billion last year, according to sources, the company started its layoffs which included engineers that are responsible for fixing and preventing service outage.

Most of the staff received emails letting them know of their layoffs and more staff quit the company since the Musk takeover.

In his interview with BBC broadcast which had more than 3 million listeners, he mention that Twitter was in a $3 Billion negative cash flow resulting to drastic measures, referring to the layoffs.

“We could be cash-flow positive this quarter if things go well,’ Musk said.

Since Musk acquired the App, Twitter has since a major decline in Advertising claiming the reason behind it was “political” and mentioned that the Advertising has picked up again.
