Apple iPhone sales likely to take a dip in April-June quarter

Apple is likely to see a dip in iPhone sales in the April-June quarter as customers held out on buying available iPhones in favour of a new model making it important for the company to detail how it is using artificial intelligence to augment growth, analysts said.

according to Refinitiv, the company will wrap up Big Tech earnings on Thursday with a possible 1.6% drop on its total quarterly revenue. This will be the first steepest drop in third-quarter revenue since 2016.

According to 24 analysts polled by Visible Alpha, iPhone sales likely fell more than 2% in the period.

“Apple is not immune to general macroeconomic trends and will continue to set the pace (for the smartphone industry) for quite some time,” said Bob O’Donnell, founder of Technalysis Research.

According to one of the analyst said, with the new iPhone, the company sales could get a boost in the July-September quarter.
